Indian start-ups like OLA, Patym, Practo and Zomato have come up with unique strategies to help the people stuck in Chennai and have started a new wave of humanism in the field of start-ups. Through implementing their services in an innovative manner they are lending a helping hand to those who are stuck in the devastating rains in Chennai.
While Zomato has started with a campaign” Meal for Flood Relief” wherein the users can buy a meal which can be converted into two meals and have the costs of just Rs 100. A lot of restaurants in Chennai have joined hands to make the campaign a success.
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal took to Twitter and announced the initiative.
The online startup Paytm focuses on recharge as well as e-wallets and has come up with free instant recharge of Rs 30 for those who are in Chennai. If anyone has any relative, friend or acquaintance stuck in the rains simply call at 18001030033 and share the person’s number which will automatically get recharged.
On the other hand Practo which is a startup to search the medical practitioners has started making a list of physicians(This list is updated every hour. Please help spread this further.) who are ready to help those who are badly affected in the rains. Ola too is providing free meals as well as medical facilities to those who are stranded and have been giving the facility of OLA boats to make people reach at safer zones.
Chennai has seen its worst rains over a period of 100 years and we all pray for the safety of those stuck in the rains.
