Not Just Sadhya, Kochi Metro Also Offered A Free Ride To Migrant Workers Who Built It
The Kochi Metro has been winning hearts, ever since it inaugurated. Its brilliant features make it truly one of a kind.
Last week the Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) showed an exemplary gesture of gratitude to the hundreds of migrant labourers who worked day and night for years to make the metro rail a reality, by treating them with a traditional banquet, ‘Sadhya’.
On Sunday, the day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Rs 5,181 crore project, Kochi Metro officials took their appreciation to the workforce by offering them a ride on the metro lines which they built.
They traveled from Palarivattom to Aluva and back on the metro on Sunday.
This is what the Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan tweeted.
