National Human Care Foundation organized an event to promote entrepreneurship development among people living in slums
National Human Care Foundation (NHCF) established in 2012 by a group of committed volunteer from different walks of life with a committed goal of ‘One Family, One Community, One India’ under the able leadership of their founder Mr Abdul Majid launched a program ‘Pedal to Freedom’ in December with a three-pronged aim to enable the weaker section of society that includes providing avenues for financial independence; profession linked education assistance and social security to the weaker section of the society.
On Christmas, they conducted an event with the same aim which was second in series after their successful launch with ‘Wall of Kindness’ last week at Daryaganj which focused around clothes donation & free meal to the homeless and destitute. The event was held in close coordination with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) at Mayapuri Slum Clusters to offer profession linked vocational education under their ‘Entrepreneurship Development Program’. The event was supported by both Mayapuri Industrial Welfare Association (MIWA) and Delhi Police. The event saw a massive turnout of people wanting to join the course and concluded with around 85 nominations from prospective candidates for the course. Sh. Neeraj Sehgal, Gen. Secretary of MIWA & Sh. Raj Kumar, SHO (Mayapuri) extended their direct support by being present during the event and facilitating support through their respective teams.
As per Vikas Saxena, the Chief Humanitarian Officer of NHCF states “We have always believed that we all have a moral responsibility to extend Care between human beings and we have to enable everyone around us in any capacity that we can”.
Around 85 successful registrations were done from the prospective candidates from the Mayapuri Slum Cluster and in the coming days the organization is going to bring many such campaigns for the people who are living under the marginalised sections of society.
