Mumbai: As International Women’s Day is going to be celebrated on 8th march, The Western Women Automoblie Association (WIAA) arranged a women’s rally on 5th March from Mumbai to Ambey Valley, Lonavala.
This is a third edition of Women’s Rally will spread the message on women’s safety. Around 800 to 1000 women will be participating at this events. The women’s car rally will starts from hotel Sahara Star at 7 am, move towards Churchgate, Marine Drive, Chowpaty, Peddar Road, Worli Sea Face, till Ambey Valley.
According to report, WIAA said, “Our prime focus is on creating awareness of road safety. This initiative will spread awareness of women’s safety on roads, public transport and public places.”
WIAA invites more women’s to take a part in a Women’s safety and also a team of a celebrities will be seen along the route to encourage the women participation. There will also be safety volunteers to ensure a smooth ride for all women.
The WIAA will also be providing lunch, and, entertainment to the participants at the finishing point around 4 pm. The Participants will then return to Mumbai. Last year around 1000 women participated with 240 cars in a rally.
